Our Program for 2010

Please RSVP by phone to 905 632 LOVE (5683) or email info@uoufc.org to all events you are planning to attend as events for which we expect less than 10 guests may be cancelled due to lack of interest.
Every spiritual event will include the following rituals:
- An honouring of interfaith holidays and celebrations for religious or spiritual events taking place in that month for any faith
- A ceremony for the elements of fire, earth, air and water, which are prevalent in our lives and represent nature as a sign of the creator around us
- A thankfulness circle where everyone can give their thanks and voices of gratitude toward aspects in life they are grateful for
- A healing circle where everyone can send positive energy and call out the names of anyone in distress or need, so that everyone gathered can focus goodwill onto them
- A prayer for the souls departed circle where we can honour the loss of a family member or close friend who meant something special to whomever is present
- A blessing and sharing of food and drink to honour what we have in our lives, and to help seal the community spirit of breaking bread together (This segment is available for individuals to honour or sponsor a special person; to acknowledge the anniversary of a death of a loved one, a birthday, or any other significant date in a person's life that could use extra energy)
- We end with prayers chosen at random by the congregants from our collection of interfaith prayers or individuals can create their own expression of worship and prayer to connect them to their own higher power. Drumming and chanting is encouraged at all ceremonies
