Through our weekly services and ongoing monthly meetings, we create a camaraderie for spiritually minded people to meet others on this path, and we offer a safe place for those looking for an alternative mode of worship.
We teach ancient spiritual beliefs from a myriad of cultures, enhancing our personal awareness and growth through a monthly lesson and accompanying guided meditation.
We offer emotional support and healing to those in need, providing a powerful bridge for people going through life transitions via our seasonal solstice/equinox festivals, soul journey/recovery rituals and spiritual counseling services.
Our website activities provide people from all around the world with the opportunity to continue their spiritual and emotional growth through information sharing, practical exercises and direct contact with our reverend and staff.
By providing a spirit of openness and resources for change, we encourage individuals and groups to discover new ways to worship and participate in the meaningful ceremonies of life.
We affirm the beauty, value and significance of interfaith spirituality as a concept that supports the underlying goodness of each person.
We affirm the basic truth behind all faiths.
Grief is a crippling emotion that can cause paralysis in our lives. Grief work educates the public and specifically those who have recently experienced a loss.
Grief is a compliment to the legacy of the deceased. If you had not loved the person you would not miss them; with no feelings of grief if you had not cared.
We are a culture that shies away from showing our emotions. Our culture often associates crying (which is known as a grief outburst) to be a sign of weakness.
In my experience with holistic healing, the expressions of anger, grief, tears, love, joy and emotions are a wonderful celebration of life. Emotions that are suppressed will often lead to the break down of organs in the body, which can lead to future health problems if not expressed.
Our grief support groups and holistic bereavement presentations are designed to gently encourage you to begin to get in touch with the grief and the myriad of other emotions that will come up after a death.
The next Grief Support Series of presentations to help
individuals deal with a loss will last for five weeks starting on Monday, February
1, and will continue on Mondays for February 8, 22, March 1, and 8, 2010.
